I am currently a Clinician working with families. I am excited to become a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I love and enjoy giving back to the community. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought so much awareness to the large Mental Health Crisis in our nation and I want to be a part of the solution and the healing journey.

ISOBELLE'S STORY
I am a Resident in Counseling (RIC) and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia. My work primarily involves supporting individuals who face co-occurring mental health issues. Substance Abuse Disorder holds a special place in my heart, and I am passionate about helping individuals struggling with it. I have completed all the supervision hours for the Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC) exam. Currently, I am actively preparing for the LPC exam, as passing it will enable me to expand my business and reach more people in need.
I have dedicated almost two decades to working in the mental health field, although my journey took an unconventional path. After leaving what I believed was my dream job, I found myself seeking employment and happened to come across a director. I took the opportunity to ask for a job and ended up volunteering with a group of at-risk youth. Since then, I have remained in the mental health field.
In December 2020, I achieved a significant milestone by graduating with a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Capella University. However, I felt a calling to further my education and pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology. As a result, I completed a master’s degree in psychology at Regent University. Unfortunately, I was not accepted into the Ph.D. program. Nevertheless, I interpreted this as a sign to shift my focus toward building my private practice.
I am grateful and enthusiastic to have the chance to accept this complimentary course, especially from the esteemed Barton Bott. I have received encouraging feedback about the program and strongly believe that it will enrich my knowledge and skills. This, in turn, will greatly contribute to my preparation for the LPC exam scheduled for August 2023.
