Barton has been a counselor for over 20 years and has taught virtual courses to mental health counselors for over 4 years. He is an incredible teacher, able to take complex topics and break them down into memorable patterns for students. His students often leave testimonials talking about how generous Barton is with his time and knowledge. He and his wife run an animal sanctuary, Barking Ark, for abandoned, abused, and elderly animals in Florida. Barton served in active military duty for the U.S. Navy for 30 years. Barton has a passion for knowledge and collects rare books. He is also a huge Trekkie.

Lori is a licensed professional counselor and marital family couples therapist in Virginia.
